Trainer - Business Services | Casuarina, NT | Casual

STEPS is looking for a casual Trainer – Business Services to deliver practical, accredited training that helps learners build the skills and confidence they need for employment and further opportunities.

We are seeking availability across two days per week.

You’ll work with learners from a range of backgrounds and life experiences, creating an encouraging learning environment where people feel comfortable to participate, ask questions and develop their skills.

Through practical, real-world learning, you’ll help participants strengthen their business and administration capabilities while supporting them to work towards their individual training and employment goals.

What You’ll Do

You’ll plan and deliver learner-centred Business Services training and assessment, adapting your approach to suit different learning needs and goals.

- Deliver engaging, practical training and assessment in Business Services
- Adapt learning activities and resources to different abilities, experiences and learning styles
- Deliver training through face-to-face and virtual learning where required
- Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback
- Support learners to build practical skills, confidence and employment readiness
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with learners, employers and community stakeholders
- Contribute to the development and review of training resources and activities
- Participate in validation, moderation and continuous improvement activities
- Maintain accurate learner, attendance and assessment records
- Ensure training and assessment meets STEPS RTO and relevant VET requirements

About You

You’re an approachable and adaptable trainer who enjoys working with people and helping them achieve their goals.





You understand that everyone learns differently and can bring training to life through practical examples and real-world business scenarios. You’re organised, encouraging and able to build positive relationships with learners from a range of backgrounds.

You’ll bring:

- Current and relevant experience in business administration
- Experience delivering training and assessment in Business Services
- A supportive, engaging and flexible training style
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to adapt your approach to individual learner needs
- Confidence working with learners from diverse backgrounds and experiences
- Robust planning, time management and record-keeping skills
- A commitment to quality training and positive learner outcomes

Mandatory Qualifications

- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or a Diploma or higher qualification in Adult Education
- Certificate III in Business, equivalent or higher
- Relevant experience delivering training and assessment within the Business Services field

Mandatory Requirements

- Current Australian work rights
- A satisfactory National Police Check
- A current Working with Children Card (OCHRE Card)
