Introduction

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP and Web Dynpro Developer for an immediate-start contract opportunity, supporting day-to-day SAP development, enhancement and support activities within an established project workplace.

This role is suited to a solid, hands-on SAP developer with strong core ABAP skills and practical experience developing and maintaining SAP Web Dynpro ABAP applications. The successful candidate will be comfortable working on standard backend development, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, debugging and production support, while partnering with functional consultants to deliver reliable SAP solutions.

Key responsibilities

- Develop, enhance and maintain SAP ABAP solutions in response to business and functional requirements.
- Build and support SAP Web Dynpro ABAP applications and screens.
- Develop and maintain reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms and workflows as required.
- Analyse functional specifications and translate them into practical technical solutions.
- Support existing SAP applications through debugging, defect resolution, performance tuning and production support.
- Work with functional consultants to investigate issues, clarify requirements and deliver system changes.
- Develop and maintain SAP interfaces and integrations using standard SAP tools and technologies.
- Perform unit testing and support system, integration and user acceptance testing.
- Produce clear technical documentation for developments, enhancements and support activity.




- Follow established development standards, transport processes and change-control procedures.

Mandatory skills and experience

- Strong hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
- Practical experience developing and supporting SAP Web Dynpro ABAP applications.
- Experience with core ABAP development, including ABAP Objects, reports, enhancements, user exits, BAdIs and forms.
- Experience developing and maintaining SAP interfaces and integrations.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capability.
- Experience supporting and enhancing existing SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA applications.
- Ability to interpret functional specifications and create clear technical designs.
- Experience working closely with SAP functional consultants, testers and business users.
- Comfortable managing development work independently in a delivery-focused environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- SAP Gateway and basic OData service exposure.
- Basic SAP Fiori or UI5 support experience, though this is not the primary focus of the role.
