About the role

Conroy Removals' is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quarantine Inspection Team Leader to join our team in Petrie QLD.

As the Quarantine Inspection Team Leader, you will play a critical role in coordinating and supervising quarantine inspections for imported household goods. Working closely with Biosecurity Officers, warehouse staff, customers, and our operations team, you will be responsible for achieving the best possible inspection outcomes while maintaining full compliance with Australian biosecurity requirements.

This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong communication, organisational skills, and practical experience within a removals, logistics, or quarantine environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise quarantine inspection activities within our warehouse.

- Coordinate the presentation of imported household goods for inspection.

- Work collaboratively with Biosecurity Officers to facilitate efficient and compliant inspections.

- Ensure shipments are prepared correctly to minimise delays and inspection issues.

- Identify and proactively address quarantine risks prior to inspection.

- Supervise warehouse staff assisting during unpacking, inspection, treatment, and re-packing activities.

- Maintain accurate inspection records and operational documentation.

- Coordinate treatment requirements where necessary.

- Ensure compliance with all company policies, workplace safety requirements, and biosecurity regulations.

- Assist in training team members on quarantine procedures and best practice standards.

About You

The successful candidate will have:





- Previous experience in removals, logistics, freight forwarding, biosecurity, or warehouse operations.

- Physicallt Fit. This role requires manual handling.

- Strong leadership and people management skills.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with Biosecurity Officers and stakeholders.

- An understanding of Australian biosecurity and quarantine inspection processes (highly desirable).

- Solid attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

- Current Forklift Licence (desirable but not essential)
