ABOUT THE POSITION
We're looking for a proactive, organised and mechanically minded Parts & Inventory Coordinator to support our workshop operations and help keep our heavy vehicle fleet moving.
Working closely with the Workshop Manager and Service Centre team, you'll play an important role in ensuring the right parts are sourced, available and delivered when they're needed. From managing inventory and coordinating purchases to building supplier relationships and supporting the workshop, you'll help keep operations running efficiently.
This is a wide-ranging role that combines mechanical knowledge, problem-solving, procurement and inventory management. Whether you have experience as a Parts Interpreter, come from a mechanical or workshop background, or have strong inventory and purchasing experience, we'd love to hear from you.
For someone currently working as a mechanic or technician and looking for a change from the tools, this could also be a great opportunity to put your industry knowledge to work in a different capacity.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying, sourcing and coordinating parts required for heavy vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs.
- Managing parts purchasing, supplier relationships and purchase orders to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels and ensuring critical parts are available when needed.
- Providing parts advice and support to workshop technicians and internal customers.
- Coordinating incoming deliveries, parts allocation and stock movements.
- Identifying opportunities to improve inventory management, purchasing processes and workshop efficiency.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and safety requirements.
ABOUT YOU
We're interested in someone who combines practical know-how with strong organisational skills, initiative and a customer-focused approach.
You may have experience in parts interpreting, heavy vehicle or automotive mechanics, agricultural machinery, workshop stores, inventory management or purchasing and procurement.
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify, interpret and source parts.
- Experience in a parts, mechanical, workshop, inventory or purchasing environment.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Confidence communicating with suppliers, technicians and internal customers.
- Experience using inventory management, purchasing or business systems.
- Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to safety.
- A current C Class driver's licence.
We're open to different backgrounds and experience levels. Above all, we're looking for someone with the right attitude, initiative and willingness to take ownership.
WHY WORK WITH US?
- Australian built and owned, with a genuine commitment to our people and values.
- Opportunities for career progression and professional development.
- Employee discounts across meat, fuel and health insurance.
- Be part of a team where your contribution makes a real difference to keeping our operations moving.
If you're looking for your next opportunity and have the skills, experience or mechanical know-how to make a difference, we'd love to hear from you!
Apply now and become part of the team.
