Based in Fitzroy North, we provide psychology, speech pathology and family support across the lifespan, with a particular focus on children, adolescents and families.

We’re seeking a psychologist who shares our commitment to children and families and values thoughtful clinical work, ongoing learning and collegial connection.

You’ll join an established multidisciplinary practice and take on a caseload through a supported handover from a psychologist who is leaving. Bring your clinical experience and collaborative approach; full administrative support will help you focus on your clinical work.

About the opportunity

Your work will primarily involve children, adolescents and their families. We will work with you to develop a balance of therapy and assessment that reflects your skills, interests and the needs of your caseload.

Your work may include:

- Individual therapy supporting emotional wellbeing, relationships, emotional regulation and participation in everyday life.

- Neurodevelopmental assessments, including autism and ADHD.

- Cognitive and educational assessments, including specific learning disorders.

- Parent coaching and family-focused support.

- Collaboration with schools and other professionals to translate clinical understanding into practical support.

- Clinic appointments, telehealth and outreach services.





You will have access to a broad psychometric library, assessment protocols, report templates and therapy resources, alongside colleagues with whom you can share ideas and discuss clinical questions.

We are seeking availability of 3–5 days per week, with days negotiated together. The expected client load is approximately 5–6 client appointments per day.

About you

You enjoy getting to know children and families, understanding their experiences and finding practical ways to help. You bring warmth, curiosity and sound clinical judgement, and value the prospect to learn alongside others.

You will have:

- Current general registration as a psychologist with AHPRA.

- Relevant experience working with children and adolescents, including those with neurodevelopmental presentations.

- Strong report writing, clinical documentation and communication skills.

- The ability to manage your clinical work independently and work collaboratively with colleagues, families and other professionals.

- A current National Police Check, Employment Working with Children Check, and appropriate professional insurance and business arrangements.

Clinical or Educational and Developmental Psychology endorsement, or eligibility for a registrar program, would be welcomed but is not essential.

You do not need expertise in every area we offer. We are interested in the strengths you bring, the work you find rewarding and the skills you would like to develop.

- Individual supervision can also be arranged, with any associated fee agreed before commencement.

Contractor arrangements

The hourly rate is $128 – $160, inclusive of super. The rate will depend on your experience and the level of support agreed, including supervision arrangements.

Each client session is 60 minutes, with an additional 15 minutes available for planning and note-taking. Payment covers 80 minutes per session, equivalent to $160 – $200 per session, inclusive of super.

The practice share covers the agreed services included in your arrangement, such as consulting facilities, reception, intake, appointment management, billing, clinical systems and resources. Individual supervision can also be included, with the fee adjusted to cover this support. All fees, inclusions and contracting terms will be clearly discussed and agreed before you commence.
