About the role

New Edge Landscaping & Irrigation is seeking a 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Landscaping Apprentice to join our growing team in Wagga Wagga, NSW. This is a full-time apprenticeship opportunity that will provide you with comprehensive training in all aspects of landscaping work. As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced team members , developing practical skills whilst earning a wage and gaining recognised qualifications. This role is essential to our operations, offering you the foundation for a rewarding career in the landscaping and services industry.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting with the design, planning and installation of landscape projects across residential and commercial properties

- Learning proper techniques for soil preparation, planting, turf laying and garden establishment

- Operating and maintaining landscaping equipment, machinery and tools safely and effectively

- Supporting the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems under supervision

- Assisting with hardscaping tasks such as paving, retaining walls and garden edging

- Performing general site tidying, waste removal and material handling

- Learning health and safety protocols specific to landscaping and outdoor work

- Contributing to customer satisfaction by maintaining high standards of workmanship

- Completing relevant apprenticeship coursework and training modules

What we're looking for

- A genuine interest in landscaping, excavation and outdoor work

- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions

- A solid work ethic and commitment to completing an apprenticeship qualification

- Reliability,



punctuality and a willingness to learn from experienced team members

- Basic numeracy and literacy skills to support training and communication

- A valid driver's licence (preferred) to assist with site mobility

- Health and safety awareness, with a willingness to follow all site procedures

- Good teamwork and communication skills

- No prior experience necessary – we welcome school leavers and career changers with the right attitude
