We specialize in the sale, service, and restoration of premium commercial machinery, utility vehicles, and turf-care equipment from world-leading brands such as Toro, Gianni Ferrari, Peruzzo, Hako, SMG, and Trilo.

We are currently seeking an experienced, self-motivated Vehicle Refinisher / Vehicle Painter to join our fast-paced and growing Belmont workshop. You will use your exceptional technical skills to restore, maintain, and present high-end self-propelled utility vehicles and commercial mowers.

The Role:

In this full-time position, you will be responsible for restoring the bodywork, treating corrosion, and delivering premium paint finishes for our fleet of second-hand professional turf-care vehicles, ride-on mowers, and utility vehicles. We are looking for a team player with a positive attitude who can operate both independently and collaboratively in a modern workshop environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

- Inspecting utility vehicle body panels to strip old coatings and eliminate surface imperfections and corrosion.

- Preparing exterior surfaces for finishing using manual techniques as well as electric and pneumatic sanding equipment.

- Carefully isolating unpainted mechanical sections, cabins, and glass using protective tape and masking materials.

- Formulating, mixing, and matching specialised polyurethane paints to accurately replicate specific commercial manufacturer brand colors.

- Operating professional spray equipment to apply automotive primers and high-quality topcoats, ensuring surfaces are smoothed and prepared between layered coats.

- Executing final detailing, which includes precise touch-ups, buffing, waxing, and polishing to achieve a premium,



factory-standard finish.

- Applying manufacturer decals, safety signage, and branding to the finished machinery.

- Applying industrial rust-inhibiting chemicals and anti-corrosion treatments to protect commercial vehicles from harsh outdoor elements.

- Applying body filler to reshape damaged edges, panels, and detailed exterior components.

- Conducting final quality assurance inspections and maintaining accurate workshop records for completed refinishing jobs.

Skills & Experience Required:

- AQF Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology (or equivalent qualifications), OR at least 3 years of relevant, verifiable experience operating as a Vehicle Painter/Refinisher.

- Demonstrated expertise in surface preparation, body filler application, and professional spray-painting processes.

- Competency with workshop equipment, including hand/power sanders, spray guns, polishing tools, and automotive chemicals (polyurethane paints, primers, 2-pack systems).

- Strong knowledge of workshop safety procedures and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
