Mint Catering is a busy kitchen operating Monday to Friday preparing and baking various dishes for daily cafe operations and catering orders. We specialise in catering to inner-city businesses producing high quality menus and exceptional presentation.
We are offering the opportunity for a food-experienced cook or junior chef to join our busy team. You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Daily salad and sandwich preparations
- Daily sushi
- Batch preparing homemade mini pies, sausage rolls, quiches, frittatas etc
- Slicing and serving various sizes of fruit platters
- Preparation of sliced sandwich meats, salad prep
- Traying and boxing catering orders including garnish, condiments, decoration
- Assisting Head Chef with deep frying, chopping and other tasks as required
To be considered for this role you will demonstrate:
- Prior experience in a cafe, restaurant or prep kitchen
- Confident knife skills
- Ability to work at a fast pace
- Ability to interpret recipes and produce high standards of food presentation
- Be available to work Monday to Friday 8am - 2pm minimum
