Full-Time Chef | $80,000-82,500 per annum + superannuation

About the role

Cadence Cafe is seeking a skilled, motivated and experienced Chef to join our busy café team in Nerang on the Gold Coast.

We are looking for a passionate professional who takes pride in producing high-quality food, maintaining excellent kitchen standards and contributing to a positive, productive kitchen environment.

The successful applicant will play an important role in our daily kitchen operations, helping deliver fresh, consistent and high-quality meals in a busy café setting.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare, cook and present high-quality meals in line with our menu and presentation standards.
- Assist with menu development, seasonal specials and food preparation planning.
- Manage food preparation, stock control, ordering and supplier coordination.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, wastage and kitchen costs.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.
- Coordinate kitchen operations during busy service periods.
- Supervise and support kitchen staff where required.
- Ensure equipment and work areas are maintained to a high standard.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:





- Relevant commercial cookery qualifications or equivalent recognised skills and experience.
- At least three years of relevant professional kitchen experience, with extensive modern Australian cuisine knowledge. .
- Experience working in a busy café, restaurant or similar hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and safe food-handling practices.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management, organisation and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for food quality, consistency and customer satisfaction.
