Looking for a rewarding maintenance opportunity with excellent earning potential and a balanced roster? MacKellar is seeking experienced Diesel Fitters / Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join our maintenance team supporting operations at Boonal Coal Stockpile, near Blackwater.

Offering up to $73.84 per hour + super, a permanent position and a 7/7 roster, this is a great opportunity to secure stable work while enjoying a week off between swings.

About the Role

Working as part of our mobile plant maintenance team, you'll play an important role in maintaining the equipment supporting coal stockpile and handling operations.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on heavy diesel and mobile plant equipment
- Performing fault finding, diagnostics and troubleshooting




- Completing preventative and scheduled maintenance
- Attending breakdowns and carrying out mechanical repairs
- Replacing components and identifying potential equipment issues
- Conducting inspections and ensuring maintenance work meets safety and operational standards

About You
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

- Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Fitter or equivalent
- Previous experience maintaining heavy mobile plant or mining equipment
- Solid fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- A proactive approach to maintenance and breakdown response
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- The ability to work effectively as part of a maintenance team
