The role:

We are on the lookout for a Chef to join our South Melbourne team on a casual basis. Working 20-35 hours per week, the role will include food prep, cooking, plating, presentation, maintaining stocks and supplies, and working cohesively with a broader team. Essentially,



you’ll contribute to the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and have a special focus on high quality food production and positive team culture. Opportunity for more working hours at other locations we manage in Melbourne

Responsibilities include:

- Food prep, cooking, plating, recipe development, working various kitchen sections, working fire oven, teamwork, and positive contribution to services.
- Setting a high standard of work and always representing the Pirate Life Code
- Striving for an outcome where customer service comes first
- A strong appreciation and compliance of workplace safety

What you've got:

The successful candidate will have suitable experience in a kitchen with a ‘can do’ attitude and genuine passion about food and the industry. You should also be able to demonstrate the ability to deliver quality food consistently, while thinking on your feet and managing the pressure of service.

This is a casual position working a spread of shifts over a 5-day roster; including week days, weekends, nights and public holidays.
