About the Role

PROSPERITI DISABILITY SERVICES PTY LTD is seeking a compassionate, reliable and motivated Personal Care Assistant to support individuals requiring assistance with personal care, daily living activities and maintaining their independence.

The successful applicant will contribute to delivering respectful, person-centred support that promotes dignity, safety, wellbeing and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist clients with personal hygiene, showering, dressing, grooming and other personal care activities.
- Support clients with daily living activities in accordance with their individual support plans.
- Assist with mobility, transfers and positioning, where trained and authorised.
- Support meal preparation and assistance with eating, where required.
- Observe and report changes in clients' health, behaviour or wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate care records and report incidents in accordance with organisational procedures.
- Follow infection prevention, workplace health and safety, privacy and safeguarding requirements.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families and relevant members of the care team.
- Promote client choice, dignity, independence and participation in daily activities.

- The ability to work respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds.
- An understanding of privacy, confidentiality, dignity and person-centred care.
- The ability to follow care plans, workplace procedures and safety requirements.
- Relevant qualifications or experience in personal care, aged care or disability support, as applicable to the position.

Employment Conditions

- Full time employment, 38 hours per week.
- Annual salary of AUD $79,423, excluding superannuation.
- Employment conditions subject to applicable workplace laws and the agreed employment contract.
