About the Role

As a Baker at Bakers Delight Blackburn, you'll play an important role in the daily production of our bakery range. You'll work as part of a close-knit team, ensuring our products meet Bakers Delight quality standards and are consistently produced to meet customer demand.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparing and producing a range of quality bakery products in accordance with Bakers Delight standards.
- Measuring and weighing ingredients to prepare doughs and mixtures.
- Mixing, moulding, shaping and preparing bread, rolls and other bakery products.
- Coordinating the proofing, loading, baking, unloading and cooling of bakery products.
- Preparing and finishing pastries, buns and other sweet products, including glazing and decorating.
- Monitoring oven temperatures, baking times and product quality.
- Ensuring products are consistently produced to the required standards and production schedules.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised bakery environment.




- Working collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient daily production.

What We're Looking For

- Trade-qualified baker, or a minimum of 3 years' practical baking experience.
- Previous Bakers Delight or similar commercial bakery experience will be highly regarded.
- A strong understanding of baking techniques, production processes and product quality.
- Valuable knowledge of food safety standards and workplace hygiene.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality products.
- Good communication, numeracy and literacy skills.
- A positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Reliability, initiative and a willingness to follow company procedures and standards.

Working Hours & Availability

This is a full-time position offering approximately 38 hours per week.

Flexibility is essential, with availability required across a rotating roster, including early mornings, weekends and public holidays to meet the operational needs of the bakery.

Remuneration

Annual salary of $71,000–$75,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
