The Role
We are seeking qualified Mechanical Fitters to join a global leader in mechanical drive technology, supporting major customers across the energy, industrial and infrastructure sectors. We're looking for a customer-focused team player who takes pride in delivering excellent service, is eager to learn and grow, and thrives in a motivated and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Overhaul a wide range of gearbox and power transmission equipment across various makes and types.
- Champion a strong safety culture and lead by example
- Independently strip, clean, inspect and repair industrial power transmission equipment
- Maintain a safe, clean and well-organised workshop, ensuring equipment is kept in good working condition.
- Undertake occasional site work and travel as required.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, including OEM training.
About You
You're a reliable, results driven individual and dedicated team player with strong communication skills.
You will bring:
- Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification
- Robust technical skills, including the ability to interpret engineering drawings and use workshop measuring equipment.
- A commitment to workplace safety and compliance with relevant safety standards.
- Effective workload management and organisational skills.
- Basic computer literacy.
Desirable skills:
- Experience in customer service and client interaction.
- Gearbox testing experience.
- Relevant high-risk work licenses, including forklift (FLT), dogging and rigging.
