My Better Care is seeking a positive and agile support worker who is available to provide general support in Berwick.

My Better Care is a growing independent NDIS service provider that covers Melbourne and Surrounds, South Eastern Suburbs, Bayside, Mornington Peninsula, Phillip Island and East Gippsland.

In this role, you will be providing active support to people with disabilities, within their homes and out in the community to build up their capacity of independence. It is essential for you to understand that your client will be supported with person-centered approached while be respectful to their culture, privacy, and dignity.

Potential responsibilities may include:

- Companionship.
- Assistance with medical appointments and grocery shopping
- Community support - going shopping, parks, museums, and other activities with participants. Assistance with community access, recreational and social activities
- Light exercise, such as walks.
- Local transport and getting around.
- Assistance with domestic household tasks and meal preparation.
- Assistance with personal care such as showering and dressing

Requirements:





- Experience supporting people with mental health issues and/or trauma-informed practice will be highly regarded.

· Certificate III in Aged Care/Individual Support or Equivalent

· Current unrestricted Australian Driver’s License and comprehensive car insurance.

· MUST hold a current First aid certificate, CPR and work with Children Check

- NDIS worker Screening Check
- Police check (less than 6 months old)
- 2 professional reference checks’
- Full COVID vaccination record

Job Type: Casual

Salary: start from $35 per hour

Job Types: Casual, Subcontract

Pay: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour
