We are looking for a proactive and detail-driven Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in a varied and hands-on role.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Accountant is responsible for providing high-quality financial accounting, management reporting, and compliance across the Group's education, training, employment, and allied health businesses.

This role plays a critical part in maintaining strong financial governance, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and supporting effective financial controls across multiple entities. The Senior Accountant provides valuable financial insight to management, supporting informed decision-making, operational performance, budgeting, forecasting, and the responsible management of Group resources.

Working closely with an experienced finance team, this position offers broad exposure to financial reporting, compliance, business partnering, and continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced and well-established organisation. This full-time position is based in our Brisbane CBD office and requires regular in office attendance.

What You'll Be Doing

- Oversee designated entity and business-unit accounting functions
- Coordinate month-end and year-end accounting processes
- Prepare and review management reports, reconciliations, budgets and forecasts
- Support statutory, taxation, audit and contractual financial requirements
- Monitor financial performance against budgets, forecasts and contractual expectations




- Strengthen financial controls and promote continuous improvement
- Partner with operational managers across education, training and employment services; and
- Provide technical guidance and support to Finance team members.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

- Degree-qualified in Accounting, Commerce, Business or Finance, or a related discipline
- At least 2 years’ experience in a related accounting role
- Knowledge of GST and BAS obligations
- Experience in a structured finance environment with exposure to compliance and regulatory requirements
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a collaborative approach
- Currently studying towards or holding a CPA or CA qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) (desirable)
