Make a difference through safe and reliable transport
At AXIA Solutions, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, supported and protected.
We work with children and young people in Out of Home Care (OOHC), helping them stay connected with their families, schools, appointments and communities. We are seeking reliable, compassionate and safety-focused Transport Workers to support children and families across NSW.
This is a meaningful prospect for someone who enjoys working independently, driving and making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people.
What your day will look like
In this role, you will:
- Safely transport children and young people to and from school, family contact visits, appointments, extracurricular activities and other approved destinations.
- Transport children and family members to appointments and activities as required.

- Help children feel comfortable and supported during transitions between home, school, family and other settings.
- Communicate professionally with families, carers, management and other relevant stakeholders.
- Observe and report any concerns about a child's wellbeing, safety or presentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow AXIA's policies, procedures and child-secure practices.
Some shifts may involve regional travel or longer distances outside your local area.
Why this role matters
For children in out-of-home care, reliable transport is about more than getting from one place to another. It can help maintain important family connections, support education and appointments, and provide consistency during what may be a challenging time.
As an AXIA Transport Worker, you will play an important role in helping children access the people, services and activities that support their wellbeing and development.

- Your own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance and at least two child-restraint anchor points.
- An excellent driving record and the ability to undertake longer journeys when required.
- Access to a mobile phone with internet connectivity and the ability to make calls when needed.
- Availability for at least three mornings per week (approximately 6:30 am–9:30 am) OR three afternoons per week (approximately 2:30 pm–5:30 pm).
- The ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, which may include assisting with or lifting children weighing up to 25 kg, in accordance with safe work practices.
- Strong verbal communication skills, sound written communication and a commitment to confidentiality.
- A caring, patient and professional approach to working with children and families.
