About the Role:

This role is a key support to our Leading Fleet Allocator, offering support and contributing to day-to-day operational efficiency, safety and customer service levels. This role is heavily involved in fleet allocations, including administrative duties and dealing with and assigning tasks operational staff such as drivers. The position requires exceptional communication and problem solving skills that build relationships, teamwork and a commitment to achieving success through our operational KPI’s.

Reporting to the Leading Fleet Allocator and Site Operations Manager, you will demonstrate a proven track record that includes:

- Overseeing safety & compliance and CoR.
- Understanding of effective planning and management of operational costs.
- Utilising fleet for maximum efficiency and capacity.
- Coordinate the routing of loads to maximise the efficient use of equipment, subcontractors and labour.
- Overcome constraints of daily requirements and proactive problem solving to ensure pick-ups and deliveries timeframes are met.
- Ensure Dangerous Goods are handled in a compliant manner, in line with the Dangerous Goods Act and OH&S.;
- Ensure drivers comply with Fatigue Management regulations.
- Monitor and ensure driver pre-trip checks are completed.
- Seek process improvement initiatives and implement action plans.
- Learning and ability to take direction from Fleet Allocator.
- Make arrangements and create roster for weekend work (when required).




- Complete daily validation of local driver runsheets and complete appropriate sign off in line with company procedures.
- Reporting functions - such as daily KPI report, GPS tracking data verifications.
- Ability to offer coverage to Leading Fleet Allocator in the event of absence.

The Candidate:

- Have an passion and commitment to high performance and success.
- A focus on communications, quality and customer service.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Transport / Logistics industry.
- Substantial operational experience in the same / similar role.
- Solid knowledge of the Melbourne metropolitan area.
- Have a proven track record in managing safety and CoR responsibilities.
- Ability to carry out all duties within set time frames and follow instruction.
- Friendly, approachable and positive team player.
- Interstate Linehaul Allocation Experience, desirable but not essential.
- Fatigue management knowledge.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
