Swan Tyre Service is a well-established, family-owned automotive business based in Osborne Park. We've been servicing Perth motorists since 1959, offering a complete range of tyre, wheel and mechanical services.

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Leading Hand / Mechanical Workshop 2IC to join our team and take an active role in leading our mechanical workshop. This is an chance for someone who enjoys being hands-on but is equally passionate about leading a team, improving workshop performance and keeping things running smoothly. You'll work closely with management, helping oversee the day-to-day operation of the mechanical workshop while setting the standard for workmanship, productivity and customer service.

The Role

The competitive salary will be based on relevant experience. Working hours are full time Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturdays 8am to 12pm. Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading, supporting and mentoring the mechanical workshop team through training and accountability.
- Coordinating customer queries, daily workflow, job allocation, workshop scheduling and technical escalations.
- Carrying out and assisting with servicing, mechanical repairs, diagnostics and complex mechanical and technical issues.




- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality control through monitoring labour productivity, efficiencies, job completion and safety.
- Working closely with management to improve workshop performance and processes.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

- Holds a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).
- Has strong experience as a qualified motor mechanic and previous experience in a Leading Hand, Senior Mechanic or supervisory role.

Pay: $100,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
