About Lemak:
Lemak is a modern fast-food Malaysian street food restaurant bringing bold, nostalgic flavours to Brisbane. We're looking for enthusiastic Kitchen Hands with previous experience in the Hospitality or Fast-food industry to join our growing team. Students are more than welcome to apply.

Job Description:
As a Kitchen Hand, you’ll support our kitchen team with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and assisting during busy service periods. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- Washing dishes, cookware, and utensils
- Assisting with basic food prep (chopping, portioning, organising ingredients)
- Keeping kitchen surfaces clean and sanitised
- Disposing of waste and recycling correctly
- Supporting chefs during busy service
- Supporting front counter hands with food plating and service
- Maintaining stock and supply levels for kitchen needs
- Following food safety and hygiene protocols
- Frying chicken and refilling front hot bar while still maintaining quick food preparation
- Multitasking between food service, food preparation and frying duties

What We’re Looking For:

- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience preferred
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen




- Availability for shifts across weekdays and weekends
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Punctuality and reliability
- Critical thinking skills and fast decision making
- Availability during the holiday period ( November- February)

Employment Type:
Part-time/Full-time with minimum 10 hours per week (with potential for full-time)

Pay: $27.81 – $34.76 per hour
