About the Role

We’re looking for a friendly, capable Part-Time Front of House / Barista to join our team at Fossette cafe. This is a hands-on role combining quality coffee making, front-of-house service, and beverage preparation in a people-focused environment.

You’ll be responsible for delivering consistently great coffee and drinks, supporting café service during busy periods, maintaining a clean and well-run workspace, and creating a welcoming experience for Fossette customers. You’ll work closely with the wider team to keep daily operations running smoothly and uphold our service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Coffee & Beverage Preparation

- Prepare high-quality espresso coffee, milk-based drinks, and other beverages

- Prepare smoothies and shakes as needed.

- Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and related equipment

- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation

- Complete daily cleaning, weekly deep cleans, and basic equipment maintenance

Front of House & Customer Service

- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service





- Take orders, process payments, and provide menu guidance when needed

- Serve food and beverages and maintain a clean, welcoming service area

- Anticipate customer needs and resolve issues professionally

- Help foster a positive, community-driven atmosphere

Team Support

- Work collaboratively with the team

- Lead by example with a professional, positive attitude

- Assist management with reasonable ad hoc duties

Required Skills & Experience

- 2 years minimum coffee making experience in an Australian style cafe

- Solid espresso coffee skills and confidence using café equipment

- Good customer service and communication skills

- Ability to work efficiently and independently

- Strong attention to detail, organisation, and cleanliness

- Reliable, proactive, and team-oriented approach
