ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our team on a full-time basis.

· Observe, assess and document children’s learning, strengths, interests and developmental progress, and use this information to inform individual and group curriculum planning.
· Monitor children’s health, nutritional wellbeing, welfare and safety needs; recognise concerns or barriers affecting participation and learning; and work with families and relevant professionals to arrange appropriate support.
· Embed sustainability into educational programs and daily routines through gardening, composting, caring for plants and exploring natural materials.
· Build respectful relationships with children and families, incorporating family perspectives, cultural backgrounds and children’s voices into educational planning and everyday practice.
· Discuss children’s learning, development and wellbeing with parents and guardians through regular communication, learning documentation and parent meetings.
· Support children’s transition to school, where relevant to the teaching group, by developing independence, social confidence and learning dispositions, and collaborating with families and local primary schools.
· Collaborate with colleagues, families and community partners to plan appropriate incursions, community experiences and family participation opportunities that extend children’s learning.
· Provide inclusive learning experiences that respect diversity and incorporate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in culturally respectful and meaningful ways.
· Work collaboratively with educators and management, provide guidance on curriculum and teaching practice, participate in staff meetings and professional development, and contribute to reflective practice and the centre’s Quality Improvement Plan.
· Maintain effective supervision, accurate and confidential records, and educational practices consistent with applicable education and care legislation, the National Quality Standard, Victorian child-safe requirements and centre policies.
