Position Summary

Preparing and cooking to order a variety of Italian dishes.

Education/Experience:

Certificate IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) and one year relevant work experience

or

At least three years relevant work experience

Position Requirements:

-Ability to remain calm in hectic circumstances

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Ordering and receiving food supplies and ingredients

2. Developing menus

3. Reading customer orders

4. Ensuring timely preparation of meals

5. Preparing and cooking a variety of Italian dishes.

6. Cooking food on grills, hotplates and in ovens

7. Baking, roasting, boiling and steaming meats, poultry, fish,



vegetables and other foods.

8. Observing and testing that food has been cooked sufficiently by tasting, smelling or piercing them with utensils.

9. Placing and garnishing food on plates

10. Storing unused food in refrigerators and freezers

11. Cleaning and maintaining kitchen area and equipment.

12. Training other kitchen staff

Job Type: Full-time

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift

Work Days:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Work Location: In person

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
