Disability Support Worker – Casual Position

We are seeking dedicated and reliable Disability Support Workers who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of people living with disabilities. Successful applicants will demonstrate a strong commitment to continuity of care, building meaningful relationships with participants and supporting them to achieve their short and long-term NDIS goals.

Employment Type: Casual

This is a casual position with no guaranteed set hours. However, opportunities for regular, recurring shifts may be available depending on participant needs, service requirements and rostering demands.

The number of hours offered will largely depend on each worker's flexibility, availability and willingness to commit to ongoing shifts and provide continuity of care to participants.

We are seeking versatile workers who are available to work across a variety of shifts, including:

- Weekdays
- Weekends
- Passive overnight shifts

Applicants should understand that shift availability and working hours may vary, and a willingness to accommodate changing participant needs and operational requirements is highly regarded.

Our Disability Support Workers will:

- Provide support to participants with physical and/or intellectual disabilities.
- Understand and provide appropriate care to participants with both low and high support needs, including those who may demonstrate behaviours of concern.
- Assist participants with activities of daily living and community access within clearly defined support guidelines.
- Maintain participant confidentiality and ensure documentation is stored safely and securely.
- Support participants to work towards achieving their NDIS goals.
- Identify and report incidents, hazards and concerns to management as they arise.




- Assist participants to organise and attend appointments relating to their healthcare needs.
- Demonstrate strong English proficiency and effective communication skills.
- Encourage and support participants to engage in social and community activities that reflect their individual interests, beliefs and culture.

Qualifications / Requirements

- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification.

Experience

Previous disability support experience is desirable but not essential. We welcome applicants who demonstrate the right attitude, compassion, willingness to learn and genuine commitment to providing quality care.
