Unpuzzle is an Australian-based marketing technology company providing innovative software solutions to the financial services industry, with a particular focus on Australia's customer-owned banking sector.

We have an established web-based application and are expanding our platform through the development of new modules, integrations, data analytics and reporting capabilities.

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer with strong SQL and analytical skills to assist with upcoming development projects and ongoing enhancements to our platform.

Skills and Experience Required

We are looking for someone with a combination of development and data skills, including:

Application Development

- Python
- Node.js
- React.js
- Experience developing and maintaining web-based applications.
- Experience working with APIs and third-party integrations.

Database & Data Analytics

- Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries, joins, CTEs, subqueries and stored procedures.
- noSQL such as MongoDB
- Experience with SQL Server and database design.
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends and troubleshoot data-related issues.
- Experience developing reporting solutions, data extracts and analytical queries.
- Understanding of database performance optimisation, indexing and query tuning.
- Ability to work with large datasets and transform data into meaningful business insights.

Cloud & Integrations

- AWS experience, particularly AWS Pinpoint and SMS integrations.
- Experience integrating third-party systems and APIs.
- Understanding of data flows between applications and external systems.

The Role

The successful contractor will assist with a range of projects, including:





- Developing new modules and functionality within our existing software platform.
- Building and maintaining application features and integrations.
- Developing SQL queries, data extracts and reporting solutions.
- Analysing and troubleshooting database and data-related issues.
- Improving database performance and data processing.
- Supporting the development of analytics and business intelligence capabilities.
- Working with our existing development team to deliver new functionality.

Engagement Details

This is a short-term contract engagement, with the potential for further work as additional projects arise.

The developer will:

- Work closely with and report to our Lead Software Engineer.
- Review project briefs and provide estimates and quotes for individual projects.
- Work on an agreed hourly rate, with deliverables and milestones established for each project.
- Provide regular communication, progress updates and documentation throughout each stage of development.

What We're Looking For

We are particularly interested in someone who is a solid problem solver, has an analytical mindset and can work independently while collaborating with our existing development team.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable moving between application development and database work, understanding not just how to build functionality but also how the underlying data works and how it can be used to generate meaningful insights.

Experience working with financial services, banking systems or data-intensive applications would be highly regarded.

Pay: $30.00 – $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
