Cook – Full time Position

Namaste63 Pty Ltd, trading as Cafe63 Redbank Plains, is seeking an experienced and passionate Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

Cafe63 Redbank Plains is a franchise café that has been operating since 2019, providing a variety of food and beverage options and quality service to the local community.

We are looking for a motivated Cook who takes pride in food preparation, maintains high standards of food quality and enjoys working in a busy commercial kitchen.

Key responsibilities and duties

The day-to-day tasks and duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Setting up workstations with required ingredients, cooking equipment and utensils.
- Preparing ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables and preparing meat.
- Cooking food using various cooking equipment, utensils and grills.
- Monitoring food during cooking to ensure appropriate cooking times and temperatures.
- Preparing and presenting meals according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Checking the quality and freshness of ingredients.
- Preparing sauces, dressings and other accompaniments required for menu items.
- Ensuring food is stored correctly and in accordance with food safety requirements.
- Maintaining a clean, sanitised and organised kitchen environment.
- Monitoring stock levels and advising management when supplies need replenishing.
- Minimising food wastage and maintaining appropriate portion sizes.




- Working closely with other kitchen team members to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Following workplace health, safety and food hygiene requirements.

Skills and experience required

The successful applicant will need to possess:

- Certificate III or higher qualification in Commercial Cookery or a related field, or at least three years of relevant experience in place of formal qualifications.
- At least two years of relevant commercial kitchen experience.
- Good knowledge of different cooking methods, including grilling, baking, frying and boiling.
- Experience using commercial kitchen equipment, cookware and utensils.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods.
