Bakers Delight North Blackburn is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Baker to join our team!
No previous baking experience is necessary. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, a strong work ethic and a genuine interest in learning the baking trade. We'll provide the training and support you need to develop your skills and work towards becoming a qualified baker.
About the Role
As an Apprentice Baker, you'll learn all aspects of commercial baking while working alongside our experienced team. From preparing dough and shaping bread to operating ovens and producing our delicious bakery range, you'll gain practical experience in a real bakery environment.
What You'll Learn & Do
- Prepare and bake a variety of fresh bread, rolls and bakery products.
- Learn traditional baking techniques and production processes.
- Measure ingredients, prepare dough and assist with daily production.
- Operate bakery equipment and machinery under appropriate supervision.
- Develop an understanding of baking times, temperatures and product quality.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining bakery equipment and work areas.
- Work as part of a team to ensure daily production requirements are met.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Good communication and basic reading, writing and numeracy skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
- Comfortable with early morning starts, which can be as early as 2:00 am.
- Eligibility to undertake an Australian Apprenticeship.
No previous baking experience is required – just the right attitude and willingness to learn!

Important Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be eligible to undertake an Australian Apprenticeship. Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position. Unfortunately, applicants holding temporary visas cannot be considered.
