Bartender: Landmark New Restaurant at The Powerhouse Parramatta

We're now recruiting Bartenders to join our opening team, focusing on exceptional customer service and inventive cocktail craft (both full-time, part-time and casual opportunities available). Working closely with restaurant management, you'll help create vibrant, memorable experiences for diners, visitors and locals alike.

JOB SUMMARY

You'll oversee daily beverage operations, support beverage offerings and upsells, contribute to menu planning, and back up the floor team during peak service. You'll be committed to continually improving guest and team satisfaction, identifying training needs and putting plans in place to meet them.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

- Welcoming guests, reading their preferences, making recommendations and taking drink orders.




- Learning the drinks menu and keeping guests informed about recent beverages, specials and pairings with the food menu.
- Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses and serving beverages with flair.
- Checking ID, upholding Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements.
- Conducting regular stocktakes, managing inventory levels and ordering supplies so the bar and restaurant are always well-stocked, while minimising wastage.
- Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.
- Handling cash, credit and debit card transactions accurately, returning correct change and balancing the register.
- Keeping the bar and dining areas clean by clearing rubbish, wiping down tables, and washing glasses, utensils and equipment.
- Recommending and upselling signature drinks to guests.

ABOUT YOU

- Previous bartending experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant
- Experience in stocktaking, inventory management and ordering supplies
- A current NSW RSA certificate
- Strong cash handling and POS skills
- A passion for cocktails, great service and working as part of a team

Pay: $26.44 – $47.67 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
