About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Disability Support Worker to join our team on a casual basis in Glenfield, NSW. You will provide person-centered support that promotes participants’ independence, dignity and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with daily living activities and personal care in accordance with individual support plans.

Support meal preparation, household tasks and everyday routines.

Assist participants with attending appointments, accessing the community and participating in social activities.

Encourage participants to develop skills and exercise choice and control.

Maintain accurate progress notes and report changes in participants’ needs or wellbeing.

Communicate professionally with participants, families and the support team.

Follow organizational policies,



safety procedures and individual support plans.

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in disability support or a similar care role is preferred.

A Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Disability or a related qualification is desirable.

Solid communication skills and a patient, respectful approach.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Reliability, punctuality and respect for privacy and confidentiality.

Relevant screening checks and current First Aid and CPR certification.
