We are seeking a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Casual Medical Receptionist to join our busy and welcoming general practice.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has excellent communication skills and takes pride in providing exceptional patient service.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our practice.

Your duties will include:

- Welcoming patients and managing front desk enquiries.
- Answering incoming phone calls and assisting patients with their enquiries.
- Scheduling appointments and managing the appointment book.
- Processing payments and Medicare claims.
- Maintaining accurate patient records.
- Liaising with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
- General administrative and reception duties.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

- Has excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Is friendly, approachable and professional.




- Has robust organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Can work independently as well as part of a team.
- Has a high level of attention to detail.
- Is reliable, flexible and able to work in a busy environment.
- Understands the importance of patient confidentiality.

Previous medical reception experience and knowledge of Best Practice software would be highly regarded, although not essential for the right applicant.
