Love being an OT, but want a career that gives you more?
More flexibility. More clinical freedom. More opportunities to grow. And more time to enjoy life outside of work. At Wide Bay Therapy, we believe that great occupational therapy starts with clinicians who feel valued, supported and genuinely enjoy coming to work.
We're looking for an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about making a difference, enjoys being part of a collaborative team and wants to build a rewarding, sustainable career in private practice.
Whether you're looking to develop your clinical expertise, pursue an area you're passionate about, or simply find a better balance between work and life, we'd love to meet you.
Here's what makes working with us different.
A sustainable workload – only 65% billable hours
That's right. Just 65% of your working week is allocated to billable work, leaving the remaining time for non-billable responsibilities. We believe quality clinical care takes time, and you should have that time within your working week.
Flexibility that works for your life
Your career should complement your life, not consume it.
We encourage flexible working arrangements, personalised scheduling and the opportunity to work from home on non-clinical days. We understand that everyone has different personal commitments and priorities, and we want to help you find a working arrangement that suits.
Your caseload. Your interests. Your career.
We work with clients across the lifespan, offering a diverse range of occupational therapy services. Whether your interests are in paediatrics, adult disability, assistive technology, home modifications, functional assessments or mental health, we'll work with you to develop a caseload that aligns with your skills, interests and professional goals. You won't be expected to specialise in everything. We want you to develop expertise in the areas you genuinely enjoy.
Real clinical support, whenever you need it
You'll be surrounded by experienced and approachable clinicians who value collaboration, clinical reasoning and sharing knowledge. You'll have access to individualised and peer supervision, onsite clinical support and structured professional development opportunities.
And when it comes to administration? Our experienced Practice Manager and administration team are there to support you, alongside our Occupational Therapy Assistant, so you can spend more time doing the clinical work you love.
What you'll enjoy as part of our team
- $90,000–$110,000 annual salary, depending on experience,
with remuneration packages open to discussion. Plus superannuation.
- 65% billable workload expectations, supporting sustainable clinical practice.
- Flexible working arrangements available and encouraged. Our full time employees love their 9-day fortnights.
- Work-from-home options for suitable non-clinical duties.
- Company vehicle provided for home visits and community access.
- Generous professional development budget, tailored to your clinical interests and career aspirations.
- A day off on your birthday!
- Individualised supervision and mentoring, with experienced clinicians readily available. Peer supervision with your team scheduled fortnightly.
- Dedicated administrative and OT Assistant support to help you manage your workload. They will take care of all scheduling, administrative duties and invoicing.
- Clinical autonomy and caseload preferences to support your professional interests.
- Career progression opportunities, including senior clinical, mentoring and leadership pathways.
- Technology and equipment provided to help you work efficiently and effectively.
A workplace where you'll feel part of something good
We know that workplace culture matters. At Wide Bay Therapy, we believe in working hard, supporting one another, celebrating achievements and having a laugh along the way.
We're a close-knit team where people are encouraged to share their ideas, ask questions, keep learning and genuinely enjoy their work.
Our values guide how we work together and care for our community:
- Striving to learn.
- Being consistent and dependable.
- Being nurturing and understanding.
- Being grateful to serve our community.
We want our team members to feel comfortable being themselves, confident in their clinical skills and proud of the difference they're making. And yes, we also have the beautiful clinic, garden views, team lunches, culture days and a great coffee machine!
But what really matters to us is creating a workplace where people feel respected, valued and supported to succeed.
Don't just take our word for it
“Coming to work is a pleasure when you get to work at Wide Bay Therapy.
Since I started as a new graduate, I have been supported and encouraged in every aspect of my professional career. Every day is interesting and different, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with such an amazing team in a beautiful location.”
