Cpb Contractors
Brisbane
CPB Contractors is Australia’s leading contractor and the largest infrastructure construction company in our region. Part of the CIMIC Group, we are proud to be constructing Australia’s future and do so collaboratively with our partners and clients.
We hire for careers, not project life. CPB Contractors has more than 50 major infrastructure projects in delivery, across all key sectors of the construction industry, including roads and bridges, rail, tunnelling, defence, airports, buildings and resources, providing you with career opportunities for years to come.
The Project
CPB Contractors along with our industry partners has been selected as preferred proponent to deliver two major packages for the Cross River Rail Projects: the Tunnel, Stations and Development (TSD) package and the Rail, Integration and Systems (RIS) package. Cross River Rail is a new 10.2 kilometre rail line from Dutton Park to Bowen Hills, which includes 5.9 kilometres of tunnel under the Brisbane River and the CBD.
The RIS package is crucial to the overall delivery and success of Cross River Rail, and its integration with the Queensland Rail network. RIS will be delivered by the UNITY Alliance which brings CPB Contractors, UGL, AECOM and Jacobs.

· Monitor safety performance through site inspections, audits, task observations and compliance reviews, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
· Lead incident investigations, identify root causes and implement preventative measures to minimise risk and improve safety outcomes.
· Ensure compliance with relevant WHS legislation, Queensland Rail requirements, project safety standards and CPB Contractors' safety management systems.
Minimum Requirements
· Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety or a related discipline.
· Demonstrated experience in a senior safety leadership role within major rail infrastructure, civil construction or complex infrastructure projects.
· Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, construction risk management, incident investigation and safety management systems.
· Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, engage frontline workers and drive positive safety behaviours across project teams.
· Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and managing project safety risks.
We particularly welcome and encourage applications from Indigenous Peoples, women, the LGBTQ+ community, mature workers, Veterans and active-duty armed forces, people with disabilities and people from different cultural backgrounds. CPB Contractors is proud to hold the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) Citation - Employer of Choice for Gender Equality.
We’re always looking for ways to make CPB Contractors a more rewarding place to work and offer a unique set of benefits, including:
· A rewarding career where we support your development, training and promote from within.
· Opportunities across all construction sectors so that there is always an opportunity suitable for the next stage in your career.
· Competitive remuneration and excellent benefits including a health and wellbeing program, discount portal and company-funded salary continuance insurance.
