About the role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, as part of Bitu-mill’s South Australian profiling crew you will work on road projects across metro Adelaide and regional SA, based at Wingfield. We are hiring profiler operators, skid steer operators and labourers for full time roles on days and nights as required. Overnight accommodation and an allowance apply when the job is more than 100 km from home. If you have not worked on a profiling crew before, the labourer role is where you start.

What you will be doing

- Profiler operators set up from plans, set-out and site instructions, then run the machine to the specified depth, line and level.
- Skid steer operators run milling,



broom and bucket attachments for detail profiling and clean-up, and keep edges and access routes clear as the main profiler moves.
- Labourers work on the ground with the crew, helping with set-up and clean-up and keeping work areas clear, and learn the plant as they go.
- Everyone works safely around moving plant, trucks and traffic, follows traffic management plans and exclusion zones, uses the radio clearly and stops work when conditions are unsafe.
- Everyone completes pre-starts and daily machine care, reports defects promptly and keeps job sheets and equipment records accurate.

What you will bring:

- Profiler operators: proven experience on road milling machines (such as Wirtgen 1 m and 2 m), with sound control of depth, grade and crossfall, and the ability to read plans, levels and set-out.
- Skid steer operators: demonstrated experience on a skid steer in a profiling crew, with milling, broom and bucket attachments, and evidence of skid steer competency.
- Labourers: no profiling experience needed. Training is provided.
- A current licence free of conditions. HR or HC is required for operators and preferred for labourers.
- Availability for day and night shift, a White Card (held or booked before you start on site) and a Level 2 First Aid Certificate, or willingness to complete one.
