Griffin Coal is a long established Western Australian coal producer supporting domestic power generation and key industrial customers. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to lead our electrical team.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Fixed Plant Maintenance Superintendent, the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor ensures the reliability and electrical integrity of power supply to site. They are also responsible for maintaining equipment and infrastructure at the lowest cost and with the best level of availability through maintenance planning techniques.

You will also:

- Undertake inspections of relevant work areas daily and document / action findings where necessary.

- Ensure all electrical statutory and safety schedules have been addressed and documented.

- Plan, allocate and monitor the best use of resources to reach targets.

- Report and advise the Fixed Plant Superintendent on foreseeable equipment or production issues.





- Optimise maintenance and ensure current installation is completed on time and in budget.

- Ensure that JSA’s are completed for all non-routine tasks and reviewed.

EXPERIENCE

The preferred candidate will have:

- Trade Certification – Electrical

- At least 5 years supervisory experience in the heavy industry or open cut mining environment.

- Advanced understanding of JSA processes.

- Ability to understand and interpret safety related legislation and educate others where required.

- Advanced to moderate Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) etc.

THE LOCATION & LIFESTYLE

Griffin Coal Ewington Mine is located near Collie, a town which is located 45 minutes from the coastal city of Bunbury and 2.5 hours from the capital city of Perth, Western Australia. This is a residential role and as such no relocation package is being offered.
