Our client is a well-established business within the food manufacturing industry, specialising in the production of quality food products. Due to ongoing business requirements, they are seeking 6 reliable and hardworking Kitchenhands to join their production kitchen team on a permanent full-time basis.
There are 3 opportunities available on day shift and 3 on afternoon shift, offering the opportunity to join a busy production environment with ongoing training and development.

Available Positions
Day Shift - 3 Positions

- 7:00am - 3:00pm

Afternoon Shift - 3 Positions

- 3:00pm - 10:00pm

Both shifts operate across Monday to Sunday with employees working 5 days per week (40 hours). 2 days off will be allocated each week based on the roster. Employees working both weekend days will receive their 2 days off during the week. A weekly roster will be provided in advance.

Responsibilities
Working alongside the chefs in a busy production kitchen, your duties will include:





- Assisting chefs with daily food preparation and production activities.
- Gathering, preparing and organising ingredients for production.
- Measuring and batching ingredients in accordance with production requirements.
- Assisting with the operation of large cooking kettles and emptying completed batches.
- Performing manual handling duties including lifting and moving products weighing approximately 10-15kg.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe production environment.
- Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Supporting the wider production team to ensure daily production targets and schedules are met.

Requirements

- Previous experience in a food production, commercial kitchen or food manufacturing workplace will be highly regarded but is not essential.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Physically fit and capable of performing repetitive manual handling tasks, including lifting 10-15kg.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
- Flexible availability to work across a Monday Sunday roster.
