About the role

This is a hands-on role for someone who can take ownership of security remediation activities from investigation through to implementation, testing, documentation and closure.

Key responsibilities

- Take ownership of security audit findings and drive them through to remediation and closure.

- Investigate security vulnerabilities, configuration gaps and infrastructure risks.

- Prioritise remediation activities based on security risk and business impact.

- Implement security improvements across Microsoft cloud and on-premises environments.

- Manage vulnerability and patch remediation activities.

- Strengthen identity, access and endpoint security controls.

- Prepare and coordinate change requests, including impact assessments, approvals and rollback plans.

- Work closely with Server, Desktop, Network, Cloud and Security teams.

- Investigate legacy systems, applications, service accounts and infrastructure where ownership or configuration may be unclear.

- Maintain transparent audit evidence covering findings, remediation actions, testing and residual risks.

About you

- 5+ years of IT infrastructure experience





- Strong hands-on experience in security remediation and infrastructure hardening.

- Experience managing multiple security or audit findings simultaneously.

- A solid understanding of vulnerability management, patching, identity hardening and cloud security.

- The ability to work independently and take ownership of issues through to completion.

- Strong troubleshooting and investigation skills, particularly within legacy or complex environments.

- Excellent documentation and communication skills.

- Experience operating within formal change-management processes.

- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Storage and Azure Policy, Conditional Access and Enterprise Applications, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Defender Antivirus, Microsoft Intune, Windows Server, Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy, DNS, Kerberos, SMB and NTLM, PowerShell, vulnerability scanning and remediation, security incident management, and audit and compliance evidence management.
