Lead the team behind standout spaces and events.

Horner Recruitment is partnering with Valiant to appoint an experienced Operations Manager to lead its Sydney warehouse and logistics operation.

With furniture moving out to projects and returning for its next booking, success comes down to clear leadership, careful planning and consistently high standards. You'll keep people, products and schedules working together across a busy, varied operation.

The role

Working through warehouse managers and project teams, you'll oversee an operational workforce of approximately 43, including warehouse staff, drivers and delivery crews.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading receiving, order preparation, dispatch and returns.
- Coaching team leaders and holding teams accountable for quality, safety and performance.
- Ensuring furniture is checked, protected and presented in pristine condition.
- Coordinating the company's fleet, delivery crews, collections and event bump-ins and bump-outs.
- Managing rosters and resources around changing project demands.
- Monitoring budgets, labour costs and operational KPIs.
- Improving systems, workflows and communication across departments.

About you

You're a practical warehouse leader who stays close to daily operations, makes sound decisions under pressure and earns the respect of your team.

You'll bring:

- Proven warehouse management experience, including leadership through supervisors or team leaders.
- Strong control of inventory,

order accuracy and goods in and goods out.
- The ability to coordinate competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- A sharp eye for product presentation and careful handling.
- Confidence using Microsoft 365 and warehouse or inventory systems.
- Clear communication, commercial awareness and a proactive approach.

Experience in furniture, interiors, hire or events will be highly regarded. Strong warehouse leaders from other sectors are also encouraged to apply, with training available in fleet coordination, run scheduling and shift management. A forklift licence is desirable, with training available.

Why this opportunity?

Take ownership of Valiant's largest state operation and build on an established team's strengths. You'll have scope to improve performance, develop your people and influence how the operation runs.

Typical daytime hours are approximately 7am-3.30pm, with flexibility required to support evening, overnight and weekend operations.
