About the opportunity

East Side Recovery is seeking a General Adult Psychiatrist to join our established multidisciplinary mental health service in Melbourne's eastern suburbs.

The position is predominantly face-to-face, with flexible working arrangements available, including negotiable days and hours. We offer the opportunity to tailor the role according to your clinical interests and expertise.

Experience or interest in Neurostimulation, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), neurodevelopmental psychiatry or Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) would be highly regarded, but is not essential.

About the role

Depending on your clinical interests and experience, the role may include:

- General adult psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and ongoing management

- Medication review and individualised treatment planning





- Management of a broad range of psychiatric presentations, including complex mental health conditions

- ADHD and ASD assessment and management, where aligned with your expertise and interests

- Collaboration with GPs, psychologists, nurses and other mental health professionals

- Optional involvement in our established TMS service, with appropriate training and support

About you

We would love to hear from psychiatrists who:

- Hold specialist registration in Psychiatry with AHPRA, or are approaching completion of specialist training and will be eligible for specialist registration

- Have an interest in general adult psychiatry

- Value evidence-based, patient-centred mental health care

- Enjoy working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment

- Are seeking a supportive and rewarding role within an established mental health service

Desirable but not essential:

- Experience or interest in ADHD and ASD assessment and management

- Experience or interest in TMS and neurostimulation treatments

- Additional training or interest in developing expertise in these areas
