Babies Room Leader | Early Learning Centre

Melbourne | Part Time | 3 Days Per Week | $38-$42 per hour + Super

Are you a warm, nurturing and experienced Diploma-qualified Educator who loves working with babies and building meaningful relationships with families?

Tradewind Australia is partnering with a well-regarded community-based Early Learning Centre to find a dedicated Babies Room Leader to lead their 1-2 year old room.

This is a lovely opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys the babies age group and understands just how significant those early relationships are. With approximately six children attending each day, you'll have the opportunity to provide individual attention, create a calm and nurturing environment and ensure every child feels protected, secure and supported.

The Opportunity

Working in the 1-2 year old room, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the room, supporting children's development, wellbeing and learning while creating a welcoming environment for both children and their families.

You'll work closely with families, building trusting relationships and providing reassurance through open, honest and confident communication about their child's day, development and wellbeing.

The position offers:

- Part time hours, working 3 days per week, 8:00am-4:00pm.

- A small group of approximately six children per day.

- Approximately one hour of dedicated planning time each day.

- Diploma-qualified remuneration plus a Position of Responsibility allowance.

- Indicative hourly rate of $38-$42 plus super,



dependent on experience and classification.

- Work throughout school holidays.

- Centre closures on public holidays and two weeks over December/January.

About You

We're looking for someone who is warm, approachable and genuinely passionate about working with babies.

You'll bring:

- A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.

- Previous experience working with children aged 1-2 years.

- Experience leading a room or the confidence and capability to step into a Room Leader position.

- A nurturing and responsive approach to children's care, development and learning.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with parents and make families feel confident their children are safe, happy and well cared for.

- A good understanding of the EYLF, NQF and National Quality Standards.

- A proactive approach to planning, documentation and maintaining a high-quality learning environment.

- Current Working With Children Check and relevant qualifications.
