About the role

Become part of the team at Holgate Brewhouse, an iconic regional brewery and hospitality venue renowned for its award-winning beers, welcoming atmosphere and quality food offering. We are seeking an experienced chef or cook to help deliver a menu that balances classic pub favourites with creative seasonal dishes. This role suits someone who enjoys a busy service, cares about consistency and presentation, and wants to work in a venue where food and beer are closely connected. You'll have the opportunity to contribute ideas and be part of a passionate team dedicated to providing a great experience for every guest.

We are offering a market-competitive salary package for a 4-day, 38-hour week, plus paid overtime and superannuation.

Key responsibilities

- Produce popular food (parmas, burgers, fish & chips) and more interesting items for foodies

- Ensure food comes out fast but looks good

- Work safely and follow all kitchen policies and procedures

- Work well in a team and independently





- Work weekends and evenings

- Be willing to cover extra shifts if other chefs are away, call in sick, or if there are public holidays

- Create meals with on-site brewed beer and make food that goes well with beer

About you

- Experienced chef or cook

- Reliable, honest, and stable

- Customer focused (able to handle complaints, late arrivals, special requests)

- Able to cope with pressure when busy

- Able to remain motivated when quiet

- Respectful and non-aggressive

- Willing to work weekends and evenings

- Willing to work in Woodend, Vic
