About the role

MIB Project, a proud Indigenous-owned mining contractor, is looking for a reliable Yard Assistant to join our Port Hedland team. This part-time role (with potential for more hours) is essential to keeping our warehouse and traffic management yard running smoothly and safely. Our Hedland facility is the vital operational link connecting our Perth office to our active Newman project sites, supporting daily freight, staging, and logistics across the Pilbara.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting with the loading and unloading of goods from vehicles and storage facilities

- Organising and stacking materials in designated storage areas in a safe and efficient manner

- Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness throughout the yard and warehouse premises

- Assisting with inventory checks and stock movements as required

- Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts (can organise ticket for right person), pallet jacks and trolleys under supervision

- Supporting the movement and positioning of goods to ensure efficient space utilisation

- General yard maintenance and gardening

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working in a warehouse, yard or distribution environment

- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks regularly

- Robust attention to detail and organisational skills

- A commitment to health and safety standards and best practices

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work





- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification (desirable)

- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude

- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
