JD – Senior Quality Engineer | Playwright & API Automation

Experience:
7–10+ years Role: Senior Quality Engineer / Senior Automation Engineer Duration: 6 Months Role Summary We are looking for a hands-on Senior QE with strong experience in Playwright-based UI automation and API automation. The person should be capable of designing maintainable automation frameworks, integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines, and owning quality across the end-to-end delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop and maintain Playwright automation frameworks using TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Build robust automation covering UI, API and end-to-end business flows.
• Develop API automation for REST services, including request/response validation, authentication, negative scenarios and data-driven testing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and enable reliable execution across environments.
• Analyse automation failures and differentiate application defects from framework, environment and test-data issues.
• Drive automation coverage across regression and critical business journeys.




• Work closely with developers, product teams and QE members to build quality earlier in the lifecycle.
• Review automation code and establish reusable coding and automation standards.
• Mentor junior engineers while remaining strongly hands-on. Must-Have Skills
• 7+ years of Quality Engineering / Test Automation experience
• Robust hands-on experience with Playwright
• Solid TypeScript / JavaScript programming skills
• Strong API automation experience
• REST API testing and automation
• Experience with tools such as Postman / REST clients
• Solid understanding of JSON, HTTP methods, headers, authentication and response validation
• Experience building or enhancing automation frameworks from scratch
• CI/CD integration using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Git/version-control experience
• Good understanding of test design, debugging and defect analysis
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams
