Microbiology Laboratory Technician – About the company: Our client is a well-established pharmaceutical manufacturer based in Melbourne, renowned for its commitment to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement. Due to ongoing growth, they are seeking a motivated Microbiology Laboratory Technician to join their laboratory team on an ongoing basis.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, standard business hours.

About the role: Reporting to the Quality Manager, your main responsibilities may include:

Performing basic wet chemistry testing, including titrations and pH analysis

Conducting microbiological testing of products and samples

Recording, analysing, and compiling laboratory data and results

Maintaining accurate laboratory documentation and records

Supporting laboratory housekeeping and ensuring compliance with GMP and quality requirements





Assisting the wider Quality team with routine laboratory activities as required

About you:

A Bachelor of Science (Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, or a related discipline)

Previous industry placement, internship, or laboratory experience (highly regarded)

A genuine interest in microbiology and laboratory‑based work

Excellent attention to detail and solid organisational skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop

The ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced team environment
