Casual Fresh Seafood Assistant

Christmas is one of our busiest times of the year, and we’re looking for a few reliable Christmas casuals to join the Collingwood Catch team!

We’re a busy, family-owned fresh seafood store and are looking for people who are friendly, hardworking and happy to jump in wherever needed.

You don’t need seafood experience as we will provide training and teach you the ropes.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Serving customers and helping them choose from our fresh seafood range
Using our POS and scale systems and handling payments
Restocking displays and keeping our seafood counters looking their best
Assisting with general day-to-day store duties
Keeping work areas clean, organised and ready for service
Following food safety and hygiene procedures
Learning basic fish preparation, including cleaning and gutting fish

We’re Looking For Someone Who:
Is reliable, punctual and ready to work




Has a friendly attitude and communicates well with customers and the team
Is comfortable working in a busy, rapid-paced environment
Is willing to learn about fresh seafood
Can work approximately 10–30 hours per week, including weekends
Must be available Christmas Eve
Has previous retail, hospitality or customer service experience — preferred, but not essential
