Oly Homes is seeking an experienced and organised Accounts Officer to join our Finance team and support the day-to-day financial operations of our growing business.
Working closely with our Financial Controller, you'll take ownership of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring supplier and customer accounts are managed accurately and efficiently.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident using Xero, who enjoys working independently, takes pride in accuracy and likes keeping things organised.
We're open to full-time or part-time arrangements, including school hours, for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
Process, code and reconcile supplier invoices.
Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation.
Reconcile supplier statements and prepare payment batches for approval.
Prepare and issue customer invoices and progress claims.
Allocate customer payments and follow up outstanding accounts.
Complete regular bank and credit card reconciliations in Xero.
Investigate discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records.
Assist with month-end processes and general finance administration.
Liaise with suppliers, customers and internal employees regarding accounts matters.
About You
Ideally, you'll have:




Previous experience in an Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or Accounts Officer role.
Strong working knowledge of Xero.
Familiarity with Dext or similar invoice processing software.
A sound understanding of bookkeeping principles and GST.
Good Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills and a practical, proactive approach.
Experience within the construction, building or manufacturing industry would be highly regarded.
