Required Skills
5+ years of payroll processing experience

Ability to work at the Adelaide office, standard hours (8am to 5pm)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication abilities
Nice to Have Skills
Experience specifically within mining, heavy industry, or construction sectors
Knowledge of additional payroll software tools
Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Education and Experience
Relevant tertiary qualifications or certifications related to payroll, HR, or finance
Extensive hands‐on payroll experience within heavy industry or related sectors

This role will suit a payroll professional who enjoys a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage end-to-end payroll processing while providing support across payroll administration and reporting functions.
Your new role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Processing end-to-end payroll for a large employee workforce
Maintaining payroll records and ensuring data accuracy
Managing payroll enquiries from employees and internal stakeholders
Processing leave, allowances, terminations and payroll adjustments
Assisting with payroll reconciliations and reporting requirements
Ensuring compliance with relevant awards, legislation and company policies
Supporting the wider payroll team during a busy period
What you'll need to succeed




Demonstrated end-to-end payroll experience
Strong Chris21 experience is essential
Sound knowledge of payroll legislation, awards and compliance requirements
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
Availability to commence at short notice
