The job role of a formworker involves creating forms for bridges, foundations, beams and staircases, building structures on site, and working with concrete and metal frames.
Key responsibilities
Reading and interpreting building plans, drawings and specifications.
Measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling timber and other building materials.
Constructing, installing and repairing timber frameworks, floors, walls and roof structures.
Installing doors, windows, skirting boards, architraves and other timber fixtures.
Constructing and installing formwork and other structural components.
Operating hand tools, power tools and carpentry equipment safely.
Ensuring all carpentry work complies with relevant building codes and safety standards.
Inspecting completed work and making necessary adjustments or repairs.
Working with other tradespeople to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
Maintaining a clean and secure work environment.
About you
A minimum of three years full-time experience as a carpenter
