Summary:
Join a supportive team providing meaningful, person-centred disability support across Albury/Wodonga.
We are especially interested in hearing from experienced Disability Support Workers who have worked with:
Complex or challenging behaviours
Positive Behaviour Support strategies
High-care or complex support needs
Personal care and activities of daily living

Responsibilities:
Provide person-centred support with
personal care and activities of daily living
, including showering, dressing, grooming, meal preparation and household tasks.
Support people who may experience
complex or challenging behaviours
, following individual support plans, behaviour support strategies and established safety procedures.
Assist participants to develop and maintain independence, daily living skills and meaningful routines.
Support participants to access the community, attend appointments and participate in social,



recreational and everyday activities.
Observe and accurately document changes in a participant's health, wellbeing, behaviour or support needs and report concerns appropriately.
Promote participant
choice, dignity, independence and control
in all aspects of their support.
Work collaboratively with participants, families, colleagues and relevant health and allied health professionals to provide consistent, quality support.
Qualifications:
A genuine interest in supporting individuals with disabilities.
Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic understanding of disability support practices (training will be provided).
First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), Certificate IV in Disability Support, or a related qualification
preferred
, or demonstrated relevant disability support experience will be highly regarded.
NDIS workers screening check or willing to obtain the same
