About the role
Are you a passionate and creative chef with a love for fine cooking? We are a dining destination known for exquisite dishes and a vibrant atmosphere, and we are looking for a talented, dedicated Chef to join our team in Broome. This full time role is 38 hours a week, with applicable superannuation paid on top of your salary.

What you'll do
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Creating and updating menus that use seasonal ingredients and local produce
Collaborating with management to develop special menus for events and promotions
Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to high standards of quality and presentation, with attention to detail
Monitoring portion sizes and consistency across all dishes served
Leading and supervising kitchen staff, and assisting with training in food preparation techniques, safety and hygiene standards




Managing kitchen inventory and monitoring food costs
Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards
Assisting in responding to customer feedback
Staying informed about culinary trends, experimenting with new recipes, and taking part in culinary events and workshops
Planning and executing catering for special events and private parties
About you
Certificate IV or higher in Commercial Cookery (three years of experience can be used in place of the qualification)
About 1 year of experience in a relevant role
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team
A deep understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
