Employment Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot and fix a range of marine engines, including outboard motors and jet skis Carry out servicing and maintenance work on boats and jet skis, including 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines, carburettors, trailers and electrical accessories Fit, install and repair marine equipment and accessories such as sounders, VHF radios, antennas and navigation lights Conduct sea trials and testing of marine vessels Carry out routine inspections and ongoing preventative maintenance on all marine assets Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components,



and checking parts Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired Skills, experience and qualifications Certificate III including at least one year of relevant experience, or Certificate IV.
At least 3 years of relevant experience may be accepted in place of the formal qualification.
Relevant experience may also be required.
Licences: Registration or licensing may be required for this occupation.
